March 14, 18, 19 2026
14th: 10 AM – 9 PM; 18th: 4 – 9 PM; 19th: 6 – 9 PM
Kailasa Seattle is delighted to invite you to the auspicious festival of Ugadi, the sacred Hindu Lunar New Year.
What is Ugadi?
Rooted in the lunar wisdom of Sanatana Hindu Dharma, Ugadi is the sacred Hindu New Year, celebrated with profound devotion across Karnataka, Andhra, and beyond. Marking the auspicious beginning of Chaitra month and the divine dawn of Chaitra Navaratri, Ugadi invites us to align with cosmic rhythms and awaken to our highest potential.
The word “Ugadi” is a combination of the words “Yuga” and “Adi” and means “Beginning of a New Age.” This festival embodies the eternal promise of renewal — a sacred moment to release the past, embrace the present, and manifest an enlightened future. At KAILASA Seattle, we celebrate Ugadi as a powerful declaration of identity, a reconnection to our glorious civilizational heritage, and a joyous invitation to live Paramashiva’s eternal bliss.
