ABOUT

The Renton River Days festival is a vibrant community festival in Renton, WA, featuring a parade, food vendors, entertainment, a children’s zone, a drone show, chalk art, and a rubber duck derby. Activities span multiple locations, including Liberty Park, Cedar River Park, and Downtown Renton, with a parade on 3rd Street on Saturday, July 26, at 10 a.m. During the festival, Kailasa Seattle will host a booth to engage with the community and share aspects of Hindu culture and spirituality.

The temple is known for its community outreach efforts, which often include:

  • Cultural Presentations: Showcasing traditional Hindu art forms, music, and dance to educate and entertain attendees.
  • Educational Outreach: Providing information about Hindu philosophy, rituals, and practices to foster understanding and dialogue.
  • Free Vegetarian Meals (Annadaan): Offering freshly prepared vegetarian food to visitors, reflecting the temple’s commitment to service and hospitality.
  • Volunteering opportunities at the temple
  • Power Manifestation / Spiritual Healing

These activities align with the temple’s mission to promote cultural understanding and spiritual enrichment within the broader community.

HOW KAILASA SEATTLE WILL BE PARTICIPATING

Kailasa Seattle will be participating in the festival in several ways:

  • Renton River Day Parade Procession (July 26): During the parade, Kailasa Seattle will hold a procession featuring several deities adorned with lights, flowers, and traditional fabrics. In addition, the temple will incorporate kirtans, bhajans, and other music and dance activities.
  • Large Booth: Kailasa Seattle will set up a large booth that reflects the Vedagamic tradition and showcases the temple’s unique deities. The booth will also feature a large backdrop for festival attendees to take selfies.
  • Free Giveaways: Receive free copies of Bhagavad Gita, bookmarks, stickers, and other divine gifts.
  • Interactive Sessions: Kailasa Seattle will host kirtans, offer short guided meditation sessions, and offer henna designs and Hindu deity coloring sheets. 
  • Healing sessions: Experience powerful energy healings and spiritual guidance.
  • Annadhan/Prashadam: Enjoy sattvik vegetarian meals blessed with divine vibrations.
  • Consciousness Studies: Learn about ancient Vedic sciences, meditation, and enlightened living.
