Krishna Janmashtami

August 16, 2025

9:30 AM – 8:30 PM

Kailasa Seattle is delighted to invite you to the auspicious festival of Krishna Janmashtami, celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna, one of the greatest incarnations of Lord Vishnu and the embodiment of Divine Love.

What is Krishna Janmashtami?

Krishna Janmashtami celebrates the birth of Bhagavan Sri Krishna, one of the greatest incarnations of Lord Vishu and the embodiment of Divine Love. Krishna’s life can be summarized by the following word: “celebration.”

Bhagavan’s life expressed in the body as ever youthful, in intellect as an amazing strategist, and in emotion as a most beautiful pure romance and amazing artistic expression. Even when Bhagavan was teaching the great truths, it was done in a very poetic form. His sacred book is called the Gita (Sanskrit for “song”) because it is more poetic than anything else.

Knowing, loving, being, and celebrating Krishna is the greatest gift we can receive from Krishna. All of this is collectively known as “Krishna Bhakti.” When you are in romance with Krishna, everyone around you feels you are Krishna.

Your participation in this year’s Krishna Janmashtami will not only enrich your own spiritual journey but also contribute to the collective energy of the communit. Let us come together to celebrate Bhagavan Sri Krishna through our love and devotion.
